They see the music videos. They see the jewelry, the clean whips, and the high-energy sets. But they don’t see the 3:00 AM sessions in a booth that’s basically a converted closet, breathing in nothing but ambition and filtered air.
Being a boss isn’t about the payout; it’s about the process. In the heart of Panama City, we don’t get handed opportunities—we forge them. Making music isn’t just about catching a vibe; it’s a relentless, daily grind that tests your loyalty and your hunger.
The Blueprint of the Hustle
For me, the grind is split into three shifts.
- The Mental Shift: You have to stay sharp. I’m constantly observing the streets, listening to the rhythm of North Florida, and turning that raw energy into lyrics. If you aren’t living it, you can’t rap it. Authentic storytelling is the only currency that matters.
- The Studio Shift: This is where the discipline kicks in. It’s about doing 50 takes until the delivery hits with the weight of the world. Collaborating with the inner circle—CMB E Bone, CMB Goon, and CMB L3—means pushing each other. If the energy isn’t 100%, we scrap it and start over. We don’t do “good enough.”
- The Business Shift: This is the part most artists fail at. You can have the hardest track in the world, but if you don’t know how to distribute, market, and protect your masters, you’re just a hobbyist. I’m a “Cash Making Boss” because I treat every track like a startup. We build empires, not just playlists.
Forged in North Florida
People ask why we’re so relentless. It’s because the rugged streets of North Florida raised us. We’re inspired by the legends who turned nothing into something—the Master Ps and the Rick Rosses of the world—but we’re carving our own path.
The grind is exhausting. There are days when the ” pursuit of respect” feels like an uphill battle. But then you hit that one beat, or you see the crowd move to a verse that came from your lowest moment, and you realize: Chances Make Bosses.
The Bottom Line
If you’re waiting for a “break,” you’ve already lost. At CMB Records, we don’t wait for doors to open; we build the building and own the entrance.
Stay driven. Stay authentic. And most importantly—keep making cash.
